The City of Fort Worth has an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician position available through our Water Department Production Division. As an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician you will work with high and low voltage electrical work.
Instrumentation/Electrical Technician job duties include: • Perform maintenance, installation and repair on electrical components and instrumentation pertinent to plant activities • Provide technical support to co-workers, supervision and other workgroups • Assist in testing new and technologically advanced equipment • Suggest and initiate improvements to I&E related equipment
Minimum job requirements are: • A high school diploma or GED • A minimum of two years’ experience in the instrumentation or electrical fields of construction, motor control maintenance or process control instrumentation • Possess a valid driver license • Currently possess or able to obtain a Maintenance Electrician license within three years of employment or an Associate Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Technology • Previous experience in a water or wastewater treatment plant is preferred • A Journeyman Electrician license with the State of Texas is preferred
