The Trinity River Authority of Texas, the largest provider of wholesale wastewater treatment services in Texas, seeks a highly motivated maintenance manager to plan, organize and direct the Maintenance Department for its Central Regional Wastewater System, located in Dallas, Texas. This position represents an opportunity to join one of the largest river authorities in Texas and a treatment facility repeatedly recognized at the state and national levels for its commitment to operational excellence. Responsibilities include organizing and directing the Liquids, Solids, Electrical and Electronics Maintenance Divisions, preparing, forecasting, and monitoring maintenance budgets, maintaining plant assets utilizing asset management and reliability centered maintenance management principles and techniques to minimize life cycle costs while still meeting established service goals.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of statistical analysis principles; experience with life-cycle costing and triple-bottom-line analysis as well as knowledge of the principles and objectives of asset management with respect to the operation of a public utility. Knowledge of Water Environment Research Foundation’s (WERF) Sustainable Infrastructure Management Program Learning Environment (SIMPLE) tool is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience in a related field with three years’ of supervisory experience. This candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to work cooperatively across organizational divisions to achieve program objectives. This position should have thorough knowledge of the operation of liquids and solids wastewater equipment. Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems required. Knowledge of Maximo software preferred.
A bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in engineering or management is preferred. Requires ability to obtain Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (or predecessor agency) Class B Wastewater Operator’s Certificate of Competency within two years.

The Trinity River Authority of Texas is a conservation and reclamation district providing water and wastewater treatment, along with recreation and reservoir facilities, for municipalities within the nearly 18,000-square-mile Trinity River basin.
